Rep. Andy Ogles has launched a federal investigation into Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s office after claims that city officials are obstructing ICE and shielding violent offenders.

Ogles is demanding records tied to Executive Order 30—an order allegedly requiring city employees to report immigration communications to the mayor, not federal authorities.

He’s also seeking all internal discussions and NGO communications involving ICE arrests in Davidson County.

Ogles says if you’re helping gangs evade ICE, you belong behind bars.
