MSNBC to Split from NBC News: What You Need to Know

MSNBC is undergoing a significant change as it splits from NBC News.
The cable network will no longer feature NBC News correspondents and personalities,
and will instead develop its own independent news report and editorial standards.
This change is part of a larger restructuring effort by parent company Comcast,
which is spinning off its cable assets into a new company called Versant.
MSNBC will also be rebranded as MS NOW, and will begin broadcasting from new facilities
in New York City. This change is expected to have a significant impact on the news landscape,
and will likely lead to increased competition between MSNBC and NBC News.
