San Diego, California-OAN retracts false report on Cohen-Daniels affair.

OAN Agrees to Legal Settlement, Retracts False Article About Michael Cohen
NEW YORK, April 29, 2024 – Today, One America News Network (OAN) publicly retracted a false article that OAN published about Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former personal counsel. The retraction came after an OAN article falsely claimed Mr. Cohen was having an affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels, and that Mr. Cohen was trying to extort Mr. Trump.
In its retraction, OAN said, “these statements were false” and OAN “regrets their publication.” The retraction also says that, in addition to Mr. Cohen, Michael Avenatti —Ms. Daniels’ former lawyer and OAN’s alleged ultimate “source” — also denied the truth of the statements, as did Ms. Daniels.
Mr. Cohen was represented in this defamation matter by lead counsel Justin Nelson of Susman Godfrey
LLP, who was retained after publication of the article. Co-counsel is E. Danya Perry of Perry Law PLLC, who separately represents Mr. Cohen in other matters.
Mr. Nelson commented on the retraction and settlement. “Today’s retraction by OAN represents a victory for accountability. This retraction is not about money. It is about protecting the truth.” Ms. Perry also reacted to the retraction and settlement. “This result is a vindication for Michael Cohen. He has faced severe consequences for telling the truth. With this action he has made clear that those who slander him will face their own consequences.”
