Independent Institute Research Fellow David Beito, author of The New Deal’s War on the Bill of Rights is interviewed on One America News Network’s Tipping Point with Kara McKinney. They discuss newly uncovered information about FDR and his handling of citizens’ civil rights including mass surveillance including reading of millions of private telegrams, and FDR’s hands-on role in putting thousands of Japanese-Americans into internment camps. Opposition to the internment, even from FBI head J. Edgar Hoover, didn’t dissuade FDR from carrying out the atrocity on US citizens.
