Top Israeli military lawyer arrested over leaked prison video | The World | ABC NEWS

She was formerly the Israel Defence Force’s top legal adviser, but Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi is now in police custody after she admitted to authorising the leaking of a video back in August 2024. It showed the alleged abuse of a Palestinian detainee by soldiers in an Israeli prison. Middle East correspondent Eric Tlozek has been following the story and told The World that Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi will likely be charged with a series of offences, including an abuse of office.
