Trump brings out US men's hockey team during State of the Union address | ABC NEWS

As US President Donald Trump addressed Congress for the annual State of the Union speech, he told American’s their country was “winning again”.

With that, the doors to the chamber flew open and in walked the US men’s hockey team, fresh off its gold medal win at the Winter Olympics.

After regaling the room with a quick recap of the team’s match highlights, the president announced he will soon honour the team’s goalie with the Presidential Medal.

Trump’s speech is being seen as a test run of the Republican Party’s message to voters in midterm election campaigns.
