Trump Dismisses Hormuz Concerns as “Fake News” | PakCan News

During a press exchange, a reporter pointed out that Iran is not responding to U.S. threats because the Strait of Hormuz is still blocked. Trump’s response was not to address the situation, but to question the reporter and dismiss the claim. When told the source was NBC, he immediately labeled it “fake news.” 

The moment reflects a familiar pattern. When faced with uncomfortable facts—like shipping in Hormuz still running at a fraction of normal levels—Trump shifts focus from the issue to the messenger. Data from shipping trackers already shows traffic remains severely reduced, directly contradicting claims of control. 

Instead of answering the question, the exchange turns into deflection. Reality stays the same. The response becomes the entertainment.
