Trump Ends Cashless Bail In Washington DC | National Guard Deployed And Crime Crackdown Expands

President Donald Trump announces a sweeping crackdown on crime in Washington, DC, starting with an executive order ending cashless bail in the nation’s capital. The order requires defendants to remain in federal custody before trial, aiming to stop repeat offenders from returning to the streets. Trump also deploys the National Guard to restore law and order, authorizes units to carry firearms, and signals that more federal resources will target cities plagued by rising violence.

In addition, Trump signed an order banning flag burning, citing respect for America’s symbol of freedom, and even floated renaming the Department of Defense back to the Department of War.
