Democrat prosecutors showed new footage of the Capitol riots on the second day of Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment trial.

Never-before-seen CCTV footage showed the moment protesters first breached the Capitol building.

Police officer Eugene Goodman is seen rushing Senator Mitt Romney to safety, before confronting and luring the mob away from the Senate chamber.

CCTV footage also shows Vice President Mike Pence being escorted out, alongside his family, while one of his staff members carries the nuclear football.
